New BISA Products and Publications
Since 1980, BISA has published 28 annual calendars, three major
reference books highlighting the accomplishments and the cultural
heritage of black women; and two posters Hatshepsut, ruler of
Egypt, and Njinga, Queen of Angola. Sales from these are also used
to increase funds for scholarship support.
These publications are designed to educate and inspire our youth
to reach for excellence through continuous achievement. They have
helped to provide over $190,000 in scholarships and grants for
inner-city, financially needy black women to attend colleges and
universities across America. BISA's books and calendars are major
reference documents that are helping to fill a critical void in
our educational pursuit at every level. They are in major
reference libraries across America.
BISA's annual calendars, posters and books are designed to
educate and inspire our young people for excellence through
continuous achievement. Beyond all that, we want to celebrate
black women, our heritage, our forebears. They are the
perpetuators of black heritage.
These women, selected from among many, are maps of excellence. It
is through their support of our mission, goals, and programs that
we are able to market products (calendars, posters, books, and
poems) that provide the primary source of funding for the national
scholarship assistance program. BISA proudly acknowledges that
distinguished Black women were here yesterday; they are here today
and they will be here tomorrow.
BISA is unswerving in its commitment to chronicle and herald the
outstanding accomplishments of black women in action, past, and
present.
